Standard Bernedoodles

Standard Bernedoodle Puppies for sale. We breed F1 standard Bernedoodles, this means our Bernedoodles are first
generation Bernedoodles from standard poodle & Bernese mountain dog parents.
We prefer first generation Bernedoodles because they are the healthiest, with less genetic complications. So we always aim to breed closer to the original parents.
Our standard Bernedoodle sizes vary from 23 to 29 inches and weigh 70 to 90 pounds.
Another difference between them and the mini Bernedoodles is their activity level, standard Bernedoodles are more docile, relaxed and more indoors loving. They are perfect for suitors with a less active lifestyle who are a “stay at home” type of person and need a hypoallergenic dog with little or no shedding with whom they can cuddle with and form a real connection.
We breed for temperament first, health, then beautiful coats and proportionate body. Our breeding for the standard Bernedoodle definitely starts with health/genetic tests on the parents after their temperament has been confirmed. Our test for the Bernese Mountain Dogs: Hips – OFA or PennHip or OVC, Eyes – CERF, Elbows – OFA, Heart, Degenerative
Myelopathy, Von Willebrand Disease – if not cleared through parentage.

After our babies a born for the next few weeks the mom and babies enjoy their quiet time at our home. They are going through what we call the”baked potato stage”. I make sure everyone is nursing well and I weigh them twice a day to make sure they are plumping up. I also keep close tabs on the mommy to make sure she is eating, drinking and taking her potty breaks, and that she is not losing weight.We take the mom and pups to the vet on day two or three to have the pup’s dew claws removed and to give everyone another wellness check.
